General product information

The daf is a percussion instrument. It is a frame drum with the diameter of 52-70 cm. It's original design is covered by the skin of a sheep or goat and is quipped with rings or small cymbals. Theses rings produce a special sound. The birthplace of this instrument is Kurdistan of Iran in which the daf was initially used as a ceremonial instrument. Today, the daf is present in all forms of urban music too.
